The Stress of Organising a Wedding

Young girls across the world visualise this day from a very early age.  The style of the dress, favourite car such as 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, the people invited, bridesmaids, the venue itself, and last but not least the groom himself.  These are but a portion of the factors that go into making up a wedding.  Your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, but one thing is for certain – the days, weeks and months leading up to the wedding are likely to be some of the most stressful days of your life!

Four Fabulous Things You Need to Remember to do Before You Get Married

Getting married is a wonderful time in anybody’s life. But planning a wedding can be stressful and time-consuming. It’s all for one day, so it’s important to get everything perfect. Of course, it would be impossible to detail all the things that need planning in this post. But these are a few of the most important aspects you’ll need to remember.

How to Plan the Perfect Wedding in 6 Months

So, you have made the decision to get married. Congratulations! You may want to start planning in earnest and have the wedding of your dreams. Many couples spend around two years planning their dream wedding day. But, if you want to say you I do are in a quicker time, you can plan your dream wedding in 6 months or less. Yes, really! This may sound like it would be entirely stressful, but this is not so. On the contrary, you can plan the perfect wedding in 6 months.

Get It Right; Wedding Planning Essentials

Planning a wedding is by no means an easy task. For most couples, enlisting the help of friends and family will be ideal. This is a much more cost effective option than hiring a professional wedding planner, which will just add to their ever growing list of costs. Wedding planning essentials should be dealt with before anything else.

Transportation is incredibly important. Many people have their wedding reception and their party, in two different places. There needs to be transportation in place to move selected guests, the bride and the groom from one location to another. This does not necessarily have to be the same expensive transport that brought them to the wedding. It is always worth booking this well in advance and having a backup plan in case there are any mishaps on the big day.

The venue will make or break the wedding day, so it is important to take everything into consideration when choosing it. Essentials to consider include parking facilities, the size of the rooms on offer, the price and the location. Obviously getting a reasonable mix is not easy. Visiting wedding venues will allow people to make some quick, but direct, comparisons. Price doesn’t mean everything and sometimes the venues in the lower price bracket are actually a lot more suitable.

The cost of catering for a wedding can spiral out of control. It is wise to employ a catering company, ask around for recommendations. Some choose to offer a 3 course meal as part of the day, but this is where the expense really starts to go through the roof. A much better idea is to offer a buffet type scenario which keeps both cost and wastage, to an absolute minimum. A catering company will be able to offer a tailored dinner plan, so just let them know what is needed.

Before booking a venue, ask about their policy regarding the decoration of the room. Some venues are much more flexible than others, allowing a bride and groom to really put their personal touch, like adding stone coasters to the table, in a wedding venue. Of course, it is worth taking into account when the venue will allow decoration to begin. Being let into the room on the morning of the wedding to start decorating, is certainly not going to be ideal. If possible, ask the wedding venue if they have employees on hand that can get the job done.
